Walnut Box with Carved Whale Tail Knob / Unique Keepsake Box

This whale tail box is crafted from Walnut wood I locally sourced.  I turned the box on my lathe, and hand-carved the whale tail.  It's great for keeping little treasures.

The box is approximately 2 1/2" wide at the widest part of the box and 2 1/4" tall without the whale tail knob.  The whale tail knob is about 2 1/2" tall.

I finished the box with one coat of Tung oil.  It's signed and dated on the bottom.  Maintenance instructions will be included.
